Very
highly recommended by Sophie. More than a full day so check out their
"Gold Cards" for multiple visit savings. Loads of animals,
big and small plus shows, talks and FEEDING. Sophie's favourites are
the elephant and giraffe feeding - which you do yourself. (Tigers
are fed by the keepers...) |

| Pooh Country |
|
Hartfield, East

Village
with close ties to AA Milne of Winnie the Pooh fame. You can walk
and pay a visit to many of the inspirations behind Pooh Bear's 100
acre wood.
Kids
need to be familiar with the stories and have an imagination for
this one!
(Not
great for toilets - genuine village & woodland)

Great
for shopping with interesting history thrown in. Kids will like the
"real" King Arthurs round table in Winchester. Sophie recommends
the crepes in John Lewis, Southampton. |

Hertfordshire |
Country
park with section themed as "100 akre wood" from Winnie
the Pooh. (Not an actual AA Milne site as above.) Doesn't require
too much imagination because the houses of Pooh, Piglet, Wol and
Eeeyore have all been recreated. Plenty of picnic room and the usual
country park walking etc... Great fun.
(Public
toilets. Car parking £4)
